LineageOS 22 is here, bringing the project up to an Android 15 base and adding official builds for a wide range of devices that had been waiting on the sidelines.
What is new
Beyond the version bump, this release focuses on stability, updated privacy toggles and refinements to the built-in apps that Lineage maintains itself.
Supported devices
The initial wave covers a mix of recent flagships and older workhorses that the community continues to maintain. As always, check the official wiki for your exact model before flashing.
Should you upgrade
If you are already on an official Lineage build, the upgrade path is straightforward. If you are coming from stock, budget time to unlock your bootloader, flash a recovery and back up your data first.
Custom ROMs remain one of the best ways to extend the useful life of an Android device long after official updates stop.
We do not recommend flashing on your only phone if you are new to the process. Practice on a secondary device first.
